Was it due to a recent check up that required you to get a new pair? I'm supposed to get a eye check up every 2 years since I got mine but I hardly even wear them unless I really need to.

My old frames broke, the lenses are still in perfect condition, so I went and got my eyes tested and to buy a new pair two weeks ago,

My eyes been relatively good, the prescription range been almost the same for more than five years now and the optometrist said I dont need to get new lenses, just need to get new glasses, but two weeks ago I went to a new shop and new optometrist. If I hold my new pair of glasses about 10cm away from my eyes, it is perfect, but once I wear them properly it is slightly blurry, I can walk around the house without wearing glasses, just when I drive and watch tv that has subtitles that I need to lol

The place I work also provides 50% subsidy, after health insurance discounts, towards my new glasses every two years, so I might as well get a new pair every two years

Don't you also need the glasses to be able to see clearly for your job too?
Might be better to go back to the old shop and just get the old lenses reframed as you may start suffering with headaches due to the blurred vision which may also cause problems for your work. The new shop sounds like they may have tested your eyes incorrectly.

I'll be fine, I dont usually wear my glasses while working, unless I need to read what to order at the cafeteria lol

I feel Dase's efforts are wasted on these anime, there's not many people that watches these short duration animes, as much as I appreciate Dase's translations

I am happy for the work you do. I wish to learn chinese mandarin to a much greater level and this is one of the few ways to take in the language doing something I enjoy. Being able to understand it is very helpful. Sometimes we can help many people in a small way, other time we leave a huge impact on one person who is to say what benefits the world more.

It's hard to say Zeta, even though its usually the same people on comments there are those who dont comment at all and just watch them. I will admit though that a lot of people are put off by the short donghua's compared to the longer versions.

Might be nice to have those abridges like you see on Youtube, where they put 1-10 together etc or 1-100 so you can blitz through a series

True but I think it might be better if they were done in 30 minutes per episode as that seems to be what people are most happy with. Not many can sit down and blitz 1-100 as that's roughly 7 hours worth of donghua anime on the 5-7 minutes per episode type and for the longer versions that is over 10 hours.
